Zenab Hamdan, Taysir Founder & Saahibi Co-Founder

Zenab Hamdan is a Chadian native who was born and raised in the holy city of Al-Madinah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She memorized the Qur’an in just two years, completing it at the young age of 12. By 18, she began teaching Qur’an and Tajweed and has remained dedicated to this path ever since.

She later obtained certifications in teacher training courses in Al-Madinah. She also taught at an international Islamic studies Sunday school for women overlooking Mount Uhud. There, she taught Qur’an and Islamic studies to students from diverse backgrounds, including Japanese, Russian, American, Nigerian, and Indonesian communities. This experience gave her valuable insight into the unique challenges different linguistic backgrounds present in Qur’an recitation.

Before moving to the United States in 2011, she managed a Qur’an memorization school, further strengthening her leadership and administrative skills.

After relocating, she co-founded a Sunday school in Houston, Texas, focused on Qur’an recitation, memorization, and understanding for children.

In 2015, she founded Taysir Education, a women’s Qur’an education initiative dedicated to recitation, memorization, and structured learning. She also established the Mu‘allimah Program, designed to prepare women to become qualified Qur’an teachers. The program includes training in Qur’an reading, Tajweed, classroom management, and the Nuraniyyah Qa’idah. To date, the program has graduated over 20 teachers, many of whom are now serving in various institutions and Islamic schools.

She currently leads the Qur’an program at Qalam Collegiate Academy and the women’s Qur’an program at Valley Ranch Islamic Center.

Alhamdulillah, she has also compiled Tajweed rules into a book, which is available for purchase on Amazon.

 

Hadil Shaat, Admin and the Co-founder of the Muallimah Program

She born and raised in KSA, then earned her degree at UNICEF focusing on education Gaza. In 2020 moved to Texas, where she worked as a science teacher for nearly three years at ICI, and now in Coppell ISD.

During her four years in Texas, she have been honored to be part of our incredible community, alhamdulilah. In addition to her career, she served as the Non-Arabic Department Lead at the MAS Quran Institute, and she took on the role of Academic Lead for part-time Quran school, Sunday School and Summer Camp at VRIC, for the past two years, she have co-founded the Mualimah Program with Tayseer Institute alongside Sister Zenab.

 

Asma Muslih, Quran Teacher

She has memorized the Quran at the age of  45. She has recitation and memorization Ijaza.

Tajweed , Quran  Noorani Qaida, and Islamic studies teacher. 

11- year experience of teaching adults and children. 

Worked as a volunteer teacher for sisters at Islamic Center of Irving for  5 years.

Asha Yussuf, Quran Teacher

She is currently studying and memorizing Quran under Sr. Zenab Hamdan. As of now, she has memorized and revised 20 ajzaa Alhamdulillah. Her Quran journey began back in 2015. She first studied the Noorani Qaidah and tajweed at ICI with Sr. Asma Musleh and received a certificate after completion. Under the supervision of her teacher, she taught women's Sunday class at Islamic Center of Irving. She also taught children’s after school Quran Program at VRIC. Finally,she  believes that it’s never too late for anyone to embark on their Quran journey.  

Zeenath Hakeem, Quran Teacher

She started her Quran studies by learning the proper recitation with tajweed rules in early 2001 Alhamdulillah. She has been a student of Sr. Zenab since 2017. Alhamdulillah, by the mercy of Allah she has memorized more than 20  ajzaa from Quran as of now.  While being a student of the Quran, she has been teaching Quran at home to kids in her neighborhood for 20 years. In the past, she has taught sisters and kids at Lewisville Flower Mound  Islamic center and ICI Sunday school

Ishraq Qaddoura, Quran Teacher, and Sahibi Co-Founder

is a Palestinian who was born and raised in Jordan. Her parents took advantage of her early promptitude and started teaching her the Quran at the age of 4. As a gift for her khatma they opened a Quran teaching center, called "Al-Ishraq"; which is located in Al-Jubaiha, Amman. Alhamdulliah, more than a thousand students have graduated from this institution so far, and to this day it remains benefiting the community. 

Ishraq has a bachelors in Fundamental Principles of Religion (Sharia) from the University of Jordan. In college, she collaborated with coworkers to create a curriculum for some Quranic schools/ centers.

Since moving to the U.S. in 2015, Ishraq has experienced teaching children and adults for over six years. She has taught the Quran, it’s Tajweed and Islamic Studies. Furthermore, Ishraq seeks for advanced Islamic concepts as well as ways of understanding and memorizing the Quran. These can be utilized to progress and invest in the youth of the Ummah.

Ghuson Mubarak, Quran Teacher

is a dedicated Quran educator with extensive training in both Quran memorization and recitation. she graduated from secondary school and completed Quran memorization in Jeddah. 

she has taught Quran recitation at Dar Al-Quran Al-Kareem School in Jeddah and Quran memorization at Umm Al-Mu’minin Khadijah bint Khuwaylid School and Umm Al-Mu’minin Safiyyah bint Hubayb School. In addition to hands-on teaching experience, she has completed several specialized courses, including an intensive preparatory course for Quran teachers, courses in Quran recitation and Tajweed, and training in the Hafs an Asim narration through the Shatibiyyah method.

she was also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the Charitable Association, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid School, recognizing their contributions to Quranic education.
